Last updated: August 26, 2026
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how REAL FAST ENTERPRISES LLC (“The Lucid Dreaming,” “Lucider,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use The Lucid Dreaming websites (including theluciddreaming.com and related domains), the Lucider mobile application, our onboarding funnel, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Information we collect
We may collect:
- Account information: email address, password or auth tokens, profile details you choose to provide.
- Dream and journal content: dream notes, tags, moods, lucidity ratings, transcriptions, and related metadata.
- Audio: voice notes or dream recordings you upload or create in the app.
- Sleep and practice data: bedtime/wake plans, alarms, WBTB settings, reality-check schedules, and similar preferences.
- Device and health integrations (optional): Apple Watch companion status, notification permissions, and—if you connect them—Apple Health / sleep-related data needed to provide features you enable.
- Payment information: subscription status, plan, and billing metadata. Card details are processed by payment providers (for example Stripe or Apple); we do not store full card numbers.
- Usage and diagnostics: app events, device type, approximate location derived from IP, crash logs, and analytics needed to operate and improve the Service.
- Communications: messages you send to support and related correspondence.
3. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service (journal, sleep planning, alarms, signals, AI explanations where offered).
- Create and manage your account and subscriptions.
- Process payments and prevent fraud.
- Send transactional messages (account, billing, security) and, where allowed, product updates.
- Personalize onboarding and practice recommendations.
- Analyze usage to improve reliability and features.
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
4. AI features
If you use AI features (for example dream explanations), relevant content you submit may be sent to third-party AI providers solely to generate the requested output. We do not use your dream content to train public foundation models where our providers allow us to opt out, and we instruct providers not to use your content for their own model training when that option is available.
AI outputs are informational and not medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice.
6. Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal/accounting requirements. After account deletion, we delete or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records (for example billing) as required by law.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Service is intended for users aged 16 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Access or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and related personal information
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Opt out of marketing emails (transactional messages may still be sent)
To exercise these rights, email support@theluciddreaming.com. We may need to verify your request.
10. Account deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing support@theluciddreaming.com from the address on your account (subject line: “Delete my account”).
We will process verified deletion requests within 30 days, unless a longer period is required by law. Some limited records (for example invoices or fraud-prevention logs) may be retained as legally required.
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Stripe subscription—cancel the subscription through the channel where you purchased it.
11. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you may have rights to know, access, correct, and delete personal information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law. To submit a request, email support@theluciddreaming.com.
12. International users
We are based in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand that your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate, which may have different data-protection laws than your country.
13. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
